The Transition and Fifth Year students visited the School Summit in the Connacht GAA Center of Excellence on Tuesday 25th April. It was a very insightful day for students with a great mix of Further and Higher Education options available on completion of Leaving Certificate Exams. The students also had the opportunity to view demonstrations of work involved in certain careers. There was great excitement in the carpark where Mayo County Fire Service demonstrated the correct method of quenching fires and allowed the students the opportunity to put out fires too, some of the girls even got to try out the Fire Engine for size. Thanks to Mr. Cawley and Ms. McDermott for accompaning the students on the day.
