Coláiste Iascaigh is a DEIS school. The DEIS (Delivery Equality of Opportunity in Schools) was initiated in 2005 and is centrally funded by the DES.
DEIS is based on long term action plans and there is a strong focus on literacy and numeracy, parental engagement and building capacity of school leaders and teachers. It is also built on a strong foundation of research, evaluation and feedback.
At Coláiste Iascaigh we have a proven record of academic achievement. We set high standards and ambitious goals in order to provide a top grade education where students perform well in state examinations.
Many progress to third level, past pupils are presently attending college in Queens University Belfast, University of Limerick, NUI Galway, NUI Maynooth as well as various Institutes of Technology around the country.
