On Sunday 12th November, our Transition Year Students accompanied by Ms. McDermott, Mr. Lynch and Ms. Hussey travelled to Paris on our Erasmus+ Trip. We travelled to our partner school Collège Blaise Pascal in Viarmes, north of Paris ,where our students attended technology, Spanish, German, English and music classes in which they worked with French students on tasks and activities prepared by both schools. We are participating in a cultural project with 4th year students in Collège Blaise Pascal and we worked with these students on the first stage of the project during our visit. We look forward to welcoming those students and their teachers to Colaiste Iascaigh in March 2024 and we would like to thank the staff and students of Collège Blaise Pascal for hosting us.
The students visited Le Sacré Coure cathedral and appreciated the ambiance in Montmartre by night. They climbed the Eiffel Tower and strolled down Le Champs-Élysée to see L’Arc de Triomphe and of course sampled les crêpes. A wonderful educational and cultural week was completed by a visit to Disneyland Paris. We hope this was an enriching experience for our Transition Year students.
