Last Week, our Transition Year students were brought by Ms Gregory and Mr Israel on a day full of environmental exploration and career discovery. The morning began with a hands-on biodiversity activity in Belleek Woods, where students learned about local ecosystems and the importance of conservation. This was followed by the “Work in Wind” event, which introduced them to exciting career opportunities in renewable energy and windfarm technology. To round off the day, the group completed a scenic 5km loop around the Oweninny Wind Farm, gaining firsthand insight into one of Ireland’s leading sustainable energy sites. It was a day that blended nature, learning, and inspiration for a greener future.
